Our focus is on fostering equestrian education, enhancing equine wellness, and promoting community engagement through diverse programs and events.
Intermountain Equestrian Center (IEC) offers arena rental services for freelance riding instructors, clinicians, and show managers. There are two indoor arenas, an outdoor arena, and trail riding acreage. Horse boarding is available on a limited basis. The facility is home to Sanus Equus (precision equine wellness and sports medicine clinic), The Yellowstone Polo Club (new members welcome and lessons available), and Horses Spirts Healing (equine therapy for veterans).
Intermountain Equestrian Center has been serving the Billings community of horse owners since the 1980s. The current owner, Stephanie Walker, recently purchased the property in June of 2025 from Barb Skelton, who successfully operated the facility for over twenty-five years. During that time, IEC was home to professional performance horse trainers, recreational users, boarders, Rocky Mountain College’s equestrian program, and a non-profit, Horses' Spirits Healing, which is still in existence today. The facility currently has the following key features: a 20-stall heated main barn with attached heatedarena, a 24-stallinsulated barn, a 12-stall barn,a 13-stall barn,an insulated indoor arena, an outdoor arena, and acres of trail riding. There are also 9 pens with lean-tos and a 10-acre pasture. Current plans for IEC will be to host several freelance riding instructors and trainers, an equine wellness and sports medicine clinic, and a polo club. Please see other pages for more details.
